Twitter Chat |

Thinking of marketing through Twitter? Consider using Twitter chat, since it's a great way to increase initial following and generate values that make people come back to and spread the platform.
5 steps in building a successful Twitter chat group:
- Before you start, come up with a format and schedule for the chat that make it more accessible for users you are targeting at, so that they know when and how to get involved in the conversation.
- Begin your Twitter chat chain with a hash tag that clearly reflects the topic and generates interests in viewers so that they would participate in the conversation. You may take a look at this Twitter Chat Schedule for reference.
- Being the moderator, you should bring in guests whose opinions and perspectives are pursued by the chat's participants. On top of briefing the guest with some background information of and suggested questions for the conversation, it is also important to ask the guest to promote the chat while you promote the guest's presence in the chat.
- Create a static platform - be it a blog or a standard web page - that provides general information about the chat (purpose of the chat, who runs it, when does the chat happen, etc.) and social sharing buttons, so that it is easier for participants to spread the chat within their own networks. You may also use this platform to achieve chat records, since the conversation itself serves well as a source of background information of the chat.
- It'd also be a good idea to set up TweepML lists of participants and moderators of the chat, as it allows someone to follow everyone on the list in one click! Together with gestures like retweeting interesting comments, these lists provide the means for participants to recognize each other and connect.
