Signing up to Facebook is now an extra step further away. Facebook has released a new feature that automatically suggests Pages for new users to "Like" in the second step of their signup process.

It's called "Choose your interests", where a selection of Pages is suggested for the new Facebook member based on the Pages that people in the same demographic commonly "Like". These Pages are also selected based on how much they update and engage with Fans.

This new effort of Facebook will increase the exposure of Pages in general and will likely increase the number of "Liked" pages.
