Here comes iPhone 4 |
08 Jun 2010 |
While much speculation had the new phone being called iPhone 4G, Apple went with the simpler name iPhone 4, perhaps in recognition that the smartphone wouldn’t be running on an actual 4G network for a while.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the new iphone 4 on 7 June at the Worldwide Developers’ Conference 2010 (WWDC). The device boasts the new iOS 4 operating system, allowing for multitasking abilities to run apps simultaneously, eliminating the biggest argument Android has made against the iPhone. Another interesting design feature is the aluminum band that runs around the circumference of the device, which acts as the iPhone 4’s antenna. Other features include a slimmer build, higher resolution retina display, video call function, HD video recording, 5 megapixels camera and LED flash, and the ability to create folders to organize your apps.
The iPhone 4 is a massive improvement from the 12-month-old iPhone 3G S, boosting its profile as a market groundbreaker from its competitors.
