Google Giant can Surf on Cell-phone Photos now

While there is still a long way to go before cell-phones take precedence over computers, the handset has long become one popular gadget for people to gain access to the Internet. Having that in mind, Google’s latest feature in establishing cell-phone photos as one new search item seems a reasonably smart and considerate move to search-users.

A new cell phone Internet search function, Google Goggles, is developed so that any image files taken from your cell could be entered as a search item. Typing or speaking is no longer necessary. Thanks to Google’s superbly massive database of photographs, text can be replaced with image files. Information about any book, CD, picture, or even a scenic sight can easily be retrieved as long as it is photographed in your phone.

The new feature, still in its initial stage, is only supported by certain Android smartphone models. Images will be given more power in influencing SEO once Google Goggles becomes common among phone-users.

Once user installs this new update onto their cell-phones, they can enjoy one more additional function: text recognition. A close-up photograph of a name card allows its information automatically downloaded onto the cell’s phone-book, which can save some extra time on inputting data.
