Real-time is All the Rage

Google is introducing a new feature to enhance its search performance. It is now supporting real-time search to refine search results by delivering the most updated news on the submitted keywords to the searchers. The update is going to further expand the scope of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as more relevant links are imported from the real-time data bank.

What is resulted is an embedded display for the live updates on the top in which you can scroll the page which will update itself every second. Real-time data is derived from a wide range of social media network including Twitter feeds, news content, facebook messages and blog information. Not only can one get hold of the most updated news, but they can also gain access to instant dialogues going on in the core of the social media network. The quality of information is even ensured because only highly relevant real-time data would be shown. The algorithm by which Google assesses the scores for displaying the real-time data would be some highly valuable information that SEO professionals would strive hard to speculate on.

While Bing is also incorporating Twitter’s real-time updates, the results are generated on a different search page, limiting the landscape of SEO as compared to that of the embedded page of Google.

Such gesture is a good strategy which could widen the distance between Google and his competitors.
