Google seizes a firmer Foothold in the Mobile Search Market

With Google's newly updated functions onto its Google Mobile App, mobile search service is made easier and faster. Cell-phone users could insert keywords for nearby businesses without typing your current location. Coupled with Google Map, such localizations make information about the nearest ATM or restaurant- virtually and literally -available at your fingertips. To obtain relevant search results instantly, the popular feature Google Suggest comes to help by reducing the number of keystrokes with suggested search phrases.

Another new feature, barcode scanning, is also installed onto Google's Android mobile operating system so that price comparisons are simplified for shoppers with any sudden whims. The voice recognition software is also improved to facilitate efficient vocal queries instead of typing them as keywords.

What is bigger news for search engine optimization (SEO) professionals is the extension of the updated Google Mobile App to Microsoft Windows mobile phones. This will definitely enlarge the scope and potential of SEO as search queries become more a common practice for the ubiquitously mobile flow of phone-users. As the handsets are becoming more prominently used than the computers, the mobile search market will be another venture for SEO professionals.
