Search Engine Marketing is grabbing share from Print Media

Financial crisis "forces change of online marketing focus”

Recently, a report shows that companies continue to shift their spending from traditional marketing to online marketing.

According to the report, 32 % of the clients have increased their spending on search engine marketing while 9% of them regarded the increase as 'significant'.

On the agency side, the figures are even higher. Over 50% of advertising agencies have spent more than ever on search engine optimization (SEO).

With an increasing budget on online marketing, both clients and agencies have reduced their expenditure on print ads in which 73% of the agencies are spending less on print this year while 22% said the decrease was 'significant'.
