Financial crisis forces change of online marketing focus |

There is a change of marketing focus among online retailers in the US due to the global financial crisis. Now customer retention has become crucial to firms' survival as less cost is required to retain a customer than to attract new ones.
About 88% of online retailers said that email is in a higher priority as it primarily aims to retain customers. Also, 24% of them will spend more on online marketing than originally planned.
